Mazenodians show promise at gymnastics

Although De Mazenod College Kandana did not run away with the top honours at the recently concluded under 15 Junior National Gymnastics meet held at the Sugathadasa Stadium, the boys however did well to bag eight medals including a gold.

Cheered on by their young coach, Kumarage Charaka Thushara the boys from Kandana made a solid impression against the other top teams from leading Colombo schools displaying much talent and hinting at a promising future in this particular sport.

Thirteen year-old Trefyn Hanibalsz, who had earlier bagged a Bronze in the all island schools competition, was very impressive.
