Body builder Prasanna Peiris to get gold medal

Body builder Prasanna Peiris will receive the gold medal in the bantam weight category of the 2009 World Body Building Championships held in Qatar after the gold medal winner was found to have taken performance enhancing drugs.The International Body Building Federation has informed the Sri Lanka Body Building Federation that the gold medal winner at Qatar, Mohammed Nazer had taken performance enhancing drugs and Prasanna will be awarded the gold medal.

Prasanna will be awarded the gold medal in this year’s World Championships, to be held in Azerbaijan, from November 3 to 8.
