The Sri Lanka Squash Federation (SLSF) activities are under investigation by the Ministry of Sports for alleged irregularities violating the Constitution and Sports Law and the AGM which was due to be held before March 31, 2011 and now indefinitely postponed by the Sports Ministry until a report is submitted by the committee appointed by the Ministry.

A Ministry official has been appointed to overlook the administrative functions of the SLSF in the meantime.

It is worthwhile to note that the SLSF had been dormant from January to March 2011 with neither tournaments being held nor any training conducted for players, But SLSF officials have been very busy trying to fix their stooges to come back into the new committee at the AGM, which has now been postponed.

The violations of the constitution are:

1. The SLSF has failed to provide the required number of days notice to affiliates with respect to the nominations for election of office bearers/executive committee at the AGM while they have been very busy canvassing votes for various posts.

2. The outgoing officials have tried their utmost to bring their predecessors to office again and prevent a long standing, experienced and honest senior SLSF official from being elected to office.

3. In addition the AGM notice and nomination documents have been circulated allegedly with the forged signature of the Secretary, SLSF which is a fraudulent act of a serious nature.
