Sandaruwan guides Kurunegala YCC

Right arm pacie Dhanushka Sandaruwan guided Kurunegala YCC to their second win of the Under 23 Division II cricket tournament with a career best figures of 9 for 70 which helped his side record an easy innings and 39 runs win over Old Cambrians in the match concluded at the Welagedera Stadium in Kurunegala on Sunday.

Old Cambrians resuming from their overnight score of 54 for 4 were bundled out for 121 and made to follow on with a deficit of 195 runs. They were dismissed for 156. Kurunegala YCC 316 for 9 declared (Dhanushka Dharmasiri 123, Dharshana Mahawatte 45, Nimna Karunaratne 26, Nuwan Alwis 16, Chamikara Edirisinghe 52 n.o.: Shanuka Dulaj 7 for 104, Ashan Silva 2 for 67)

Malshan Munasinghe’s match bag of 11 for 39 helped Negombo CC record an innings and 12 runs win over Kalutara TC in Under 23 Division II cricket match concluded at Kadirana on Sunday. Negombo CC resuming on their overnight score of 119 for 5 went on to make 187 in reply to Kalutara TC’s score of 98.
