Chandrika De Silva turns the hands of the clock
Chandrika De Silva who has seen 36 summers turned the hands of the clock to win the gold medal in the women’s 35 to 37 segment when she sent the top seed Charmaine Reid to the drawing board with a 21/16, 21/16 defeat at the World Senior Badminton Championships worked off in Richmond, Canada recently.
Earlier in the quarter final she sent the bottom seed Pernille Strom to the cleaners when she posted a two set winner (23/21, 21/15)
