New Youngs created a major upset when they beat the star-studded Navy side in their own den by one goal to nil in the second leg of the Champions League played at Welisara on Sunday.

The hero for New Young was a teenager from Nigeria named S. L. Innocent who wore the jersey of the Wennappuwa side for the first time. From the first whistle the game was keenly contested and both teams missed several chances that came their way. At half time the score was nil-all.

After change of ends both sides played their heart out to score. In the 66th minute Innocent stunned the Navy goal- keeper with a perfect goal. Thereafter it was the Wennappuwa players who dominated although they failed to add to the score sheet.
