Sri Lankans well prepared for Australia – Geoff Marsh
The Sri Lankan players are unlikely to struggle on the bouncy Australian pitches in the upcoming tri-series as they have performed well in similar conditions in South Africa, the island nation's sacked coach Geoff Marsh said. India have struggled to cope with the conditions and lost the Test series 0-4 apart from losing the first Twenty20 match against Australia on Wednesday. But, according to the former Australian opening batsman, Sri Lanka won't face much problem.
“I think one thing these guys have done over the last couple of months is play a lot of cricket in South Africa. It's not like coming from Sri Lanka into Australia, where you come from slow, turning wickets on to Australia's pacier wickets. I think they're more acclimatized to it. I think they'll be more ready for the tour,” Marsh said. “They're a very good side. They were World Cup runners-up six months ago. They've toured South Africa. You only have to talk to the Australian players about how tough it is to win over there and these boys managed to win a Test match and won the last two onedayers chasing 300 on both occasions. “So there is a lot of talent in the Sri Lankan side and I think it will be an exciting series,” said Marsh.

Marsh you arr great … we Sri Lankans are grateful to you. After dumping you such manner you still praise our mighty worriers. You may called again in the future in a totally different condition in the years to come … I hope you will accept considering ONLY Cricket & Cricketers.
well its unfair for us to keep high expectations from a group of guys who has been unpaid as much as $2.5m… who on earth wud like to play for an institution when all the money they earn is plundered by the so called “political cronies”…!!!!!
This is usually a sheer class itself, a man worthy of impartiality and total interest as an ex coach of our team. No doubt he should have been given proper notice board to see the developments and his achievement in South Africa will stay in good stead. He should be compensated even though the contract has been unjustifiably cancelled.
Future roles he should be in the forefront with the apology and justification of his sacking which is not fair.
Our cricket board are after money all the time and lets see if Mr. Ford loses all the matches in australia he will be kicked too hahahaha
totally agree with Dhammika,Still praise our mighty warriors.A great personality.
