Devapathiraja MMV and Royal ‘B’ clash in final today

Devapathiraja MMV Rathgama and Royal ‘B’ will clash in the final of the Under 13 Division Two inter-schools cricket tournament scheduled to be played at St John’s College ground in Panadura today.
The two teams played 12 matches each which included the first and second matches, pre-quarter final, quarter final and semi final before qualifying to the final. Royal from the 12 matches that they played won six matches losing two and four ending in draws.
Devapathiraja MMV has a better record than their opponents as they won seven matches losing only one and the rest drawn. In the semi final Royal ‘B’ defeated Anuradhapura Central while Devapathiraja MMV got the better of St Peter’s ‘B’.
Devapathiraja MMV who recorded an upset win over fancied St Peter’s ‘B’ will be coming into the game with a load of confidence and will be looking forward to come out on top and earn a promotion to the top next year while Royal ‘B’ cannot afford to take their opponents lightly.
