St. Sebastian’s record seventh outrightwin

St Sebastian’s recorded their seventh outright win when they defeated St Aloysius Galle by a massive 205 runs in the Under 19 cricket encounter concluded at Rathgama yesterday.

St Sebastian’s were home for tea with St Aloysius, who were set a target of 276 runs for victory, being able to muster only 70 runs with the right and left arm spinners Isuru Mendis and skipper Amila Aponso, who together shared eight wickets doing the damage.

Earlier in the day St Sebastian’s resuming their second innings from their overnight score of two for no loss went on to make a score of 179 for 6 declared with Sangeeth Cooray making a half ton.
