Don Bosco second semi-final on Saturday

Current League champions Ratnam Sports Club and 2010 League Champions Don Bosco from Negombo will clash in the second semi- final of the Dialog Champion of Champions knock-out tournament at the City Football Complex, Slave Island on Saturday.

According to the two legs played in the Champions League between these two clubs Don Bosco has a better record with one win at home and an away draw.

However the Kotahena side won’t let this game slip away from them as they are a side who could beat any strong team.

Led by Rawmie Mohideen, Ratnam will have the services of their prolific goal scorer E. B. Channa, N. Abeysekara, B. Shivanka, goal keeper Sugath Tillakaratne, Tharush Rangana, Mohammed Rizwan Shaib, M. M. Yogarajah, Mohammed Ismirly, Ravindra Lasantha and Tharidu Eranga.

Don Bosco is skippered by Manjula Kumara who can play at any position. Ranga de Silva, Dilki Kumar Fernando, Bandara brothers Thilina and Nipuna, Niluk Janitha, Indika Priyankara Silva, Milroy Brian, Thejan Fernando and M. Ramiz have played a major part in the club’s many victories.

All in all it’s going to be a thrilling encounter and the side that scores first will have a better chance to enter the grand finale.
