Prince of Wales crush P. de S. Kularatne

Kusal Mendis along with skipper Tharindu Dilshan and Shanuka Dulaj steered Prince of Wales to a massive 283 run win over P. de S. Kularatne MV Ambalangoda in their Under 19 inter-school limited over encounter played at Moratuwa yesterday.

Kusal was unfortunate to miss out on a ton by two runs in his 92 ball knock which comprised 12 boundaries and a six while Tharindu made a quick fire 67 in 52 balls with six boundaries and three sixes.

Prince of Wales taking first lease of the wicket were given a flying start by openers Suchira Fernando and Kusal who together put on 71 while Kusal added a further 59 runs for the second with Ashen Mendis and another 61 runs for the third wicket with Tharindu.

This followed with Tharindu putting on a 61 runs for the fourth wicket Shanuka Dulaj helping the side amass a mammoth score of 329.

Later left arm spinner Shanuka Dulaj ran through the P. de S. Kularatne MV batting that lasted only 17.2 overs. Shanuka ended with impressive figures of 8 for 21.
