Royal Panadura record fifth outright win

Royal Panadura helped by an all round performance by Kavindu Ashan recorded their fifth outright win of the 2012 Under 19 inter-school season crushing Devapathiraja MMV Rathgama by an innings and 192 runs in the match concluded at the Panadura Esplanade yesterday.

The second day’s play saw Royal Panadura declaring on their overnight score of 352 for 8. Devapathiraja MMV batting a second time with a deficit of 270 runs fared no better succumbing to right arm spinner Kavindu Ashan who ended with impressive figures of 6 for 32. Kavindu who made a top score of 94 ended with a match bag of 9 for 62.
