Waidyatilaka to officiate at Doha

Sri Lanka's sole technical officer at IAAF, P. H. D. Waidyatilaka, will be taking wings to Doha, Qatar this week to take charge of the IAAF Diamond League Championship. The meet will be held on May 11 in Doha. Waidyatilaka has officiated at many major Athletics championships including Olympic Games, World Championships, World Cup, Commonwealth Games, World University Games, Asian Games and Asian Championships in his capacity as the IAAF technical officer.

All Technical Matters will come under his purview and this is the second occasion Waidyatilaka will be the Technical Delegate in Doha, and this is the fifth consecutive year he will be Technical Delegate at a Diamond League. On three earlier occasions he was assigned to Shanghai Championship.
