Shafraz stuns 17 time winner Sirisoma
The second day’s proceedings of the 2nd President’s trophy Open Snooker tournament conducted by the Automobile Association of Ceylon (AAC) played at the AAC billiards table saw club mates Abdul Sattar and S.H.M. Aslam of MSC recording their second successive win.
The wins also saw Sattar and Aslam emerging strong contenders for the title alongside defending champion Susantha Boteju (YMCA) and Ryan Somaratne (Otters AC).
Sattar cruised through to a comfortable three frames to one win over M.R.T. Chandana of YMBA while Aslam who on day one beat M.I. Farook of MICH by three frames to two, recorded an easy three frames to nil win over club mate M.J.M. Ifham.
