All island inter-school Hockey Sevens on June 10

The under 20 all-island inter school seven-a-side hockey tournament organized by the Old Zahira Hockey Association would be held on June 10, 2012 from 8.00 pm onwards at Zahira College ground..

This event is an initiative to commemorate the 120 years of excellence of Zahira College. The college is organizing a series of events to commemorate the 120 years anniversary in a grand way.

The schools that will participate are: Ananda College, Bandaranayaka College, Gampaha, Dharmaraja College, Kandy, D.S. Senanayaka College, Joseph Vaz College, Wennappuwa, Maristella College Negombo, Nalanda College, Royal College, St. Aloysious’ College Galle, St. Peter’s College, St. Sylvester’s College Kandy,

S. Thomas’ College, Mount Lavinia. St. Thomas’s College, Matale, Wesley College, Zahira College, Colombo and Zahira College, Mat ale. The teams will be competing for Cup and Plate Championship. The winning team will receive the T.B. Jayah Memorial Trophy at the tournament.

The Organizing Committee invites all hockey lovers to witness the event.
