Sri Lanka ‘A’ leaves for South Africa today

The Sri Lanka ‘A’ squad led by left hand batsman Dimuth Karunaratne is due to leave on a three week tour to South Africa today where they will play two unofficial Test matches and two limited over games against South Africa ‘A’.

Dimuth will lead the side in both versions of the game and with Kusal Janith as his deputy. The team comprises six Test players in Chamara Silva, Kaushal Silva, Dhammika Prasad, Kosala Kulasekera, Chamara Kapugedera and Farveez Maharoof.

Up and coming young cricketers getting their break are Kusal Janith, Bhanuka Rajapakse, Udara Jayasundara and Angelo Perera who had a successful game against England with knocks of 85 and 90.
