Sri Lankan footballers meet Syria

Sri Lanka will take on Syria in the AFC U-22, championship, 2013 qualifiers tournament being held in Saudi Arabia, on Thursday.

Sri Lanka, the same team that took part in the SAF football championship, drew with Palestine (1-1) and Pakistan (1-1) in the two matches played already. They are currently placed third in the group 'B' table and will have to play three more games in the tournament.

Sri Lanka will meet Saudi Arabia on Saturday and Kyrgyzstan on next Tuesday.
