IT IS GOOD TO SEE THAT THE PRESIDENT AND THE SLHF IS MOVING IN THE
RIGHT DIRECTION IN PROMOTING AND IMPROVING THE STANDARD OF
HOCKEY IN SRI LANKA. AS I HAVE STATED EARLIER WE NEED TO GET
FOREIGN COACHES FROM EUROPE OR AUSTRALIA AND PLAY AGAINST
GOOD OPPOSITION MORE OFTEN. THE PLAYERS SHOULD BE GIVEN ALL
THE NECESSARY EQUIPMENT AND FACILITIES TO RAISE THEIR LEVEL OF
THE GAME AND FITNESS. AS A FORMER PLAYER I WOULD LOVE TO SEE THE
STANDARD OF HOCKEY GO BACK TO THE LEVELS OF THE 60′s TO THE ’80s.
