Sugathadasa Stadium given Class 1 Certificate

Newly refurbished Sugathadasa Stadium, in Colombo, has received the Class 1 Athletic Facility Certificate from the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF), the Ministry of Sports said on Monday. Mathew Cohen of Trackmasters International Ltd, who was in Sri Lanka during May 2012, inspected the stadium.  According to his report, Sugathadasa Stadium has met with all the technical requirements of IAAF Rule 140 for the relevant competitions.
