Angelo selected icon player for Neganehira

Angelo Mathews has been selected as the icon player of Nagenahira team, in the forthcoming Sri Lanka Premier League (SLPL) tournament.

The franchise holder of Nagenahira, Varun Beverages limited, has agreed to release previously selected Shahid Afridi, as icon player of Nagenahira, into the pool and opted for star all-rounder Angelo Mathews.

Retired spin legend Muttiah Muralitharan (Utura), Chris Gayle (Uva), Tillakaratne Dilshan (Basnahira), Kumar Sangakkara (Kandurata), Lasith Malinga (Ruhuna) and Mahela Jayawardene (Wayamba) are the icon players for other teams.
