Young Spirit SC takes on Eleven Stars in final today

Young Spirit SC, Wehera will take on Eleven Stars SC Paragahadeniya in the Janaka Bogollagama Memorial Trophy Kurunegala District Inter Club football tournament final at Maliga grounds Kurunegala today, Wednesday July 18 commencing at 3.00 p.m.

In the women’s final Devians S C Kurunegala will confront New United SC., Polgahawela at the same venue.

The Janaka Bogollagama Memorial Trophy men and women’s football tournament 2012 is conducted by the Kurunegala District Football Association and sponsored by Janaka Bogollagama (Pvt) Limited

Young Spirit SC Kurunegala and Eleven Stars SC Paragahadeniya qualified for the final after first round matches where 11 teams participated. Meanwhile Devians SC Kurunegala and New United SC, Polgahawela qualified for the women’s final after competing with three other clubs. This is the first time that a women’s inter-club tournament was conducted by a District Football Association in Sri Lanka.

Inter Trade Minister and the President of the Kurunegala District Football Association Johnston Fernando will grace the occasion as the chief guest. The Director and the family members of the Janaka Bogollagama (Pvt) will attend the event.
