Gampaha Regent Int. College Imerge Champions

The Gampaha Regent International College with 505 points emerged champions at the Gampaha District Swimming meet conducted for the ninth successive year by Regent International College Gampaha at the Regent International Swimming pool.

The Sapugaskanda Yoshida ShoKanji International School finshed second with 270 points. The Chief Guest at the swimming meet was Manoj Abeysinghe who represented the World Swimming Championships as Head Coach of Sri Lanka team.

Regent International College Director Udaya Gunasekara, Principal Regent International College Nissanka Marapana, Public Relations officer S.D.S. Chadrapala and Coach were also present at the meet.

Lankika Melani Fernando AveMaria Convent Negombo and Isola Fernando (Dutugamunu Maha Vidyalaya, Negombo) were declared the Best swimmers (Girls) and Dineth Jayakody (Miss Stella College, Negombo) was declared the best swimmer Boys.

 Under 10 Boys  – Abilash sportsman (Regent International College)

 Under 10 Girls  – Mashi Aneesha (Sumedha College, Gampaha)

 Under 12 Boys  – Tharaka Sirimanna (Thakshila College, Gampaha)

 Under 12 Girls  – Chihiro Fernando (Gateway College, Negombo)

 Under 14 Boys  – Dineth Jayakoddy (Maris Stella College, Negombo)
