Skipper Anamul Haque hit 101 as Bangladesh U19 beat Sri Lanka U19 by 25 runs in a Youth World Cup opener, played at Allan Border Field, Brisbane, on Saturday. Batting first, Bangladesh made 249 for 7 wickets and Sri Lanka youth were dismissed for 224. Angelo Jayasinghe made 83 off 121 balls with six boundaries.
Earlier, Anamul Haque hit 101 in 127 balls with 9 boundaries and a six. The Bangladeshi youth skipper and Asif Ahmed put on a 141 runs partnership for the third wicket.
