Upul Tharanga hit a stylish unbeaten 65 to guide Uva Next to a comfortable eight wickets win against Basnahira Cricket Dundees in the fourth SLPL match played at R. Premadasa Stadium, Colombo, on Sunday night.

The left handed opener, Tharanga, hit 8 boundaries in his 53 ball innings and put a third wicket stand of 79 runs with Pakistani all rounder Shoib Malik to take Uva home with 10 balls to spare.

Earlir, Dilhara Fernando captured four quick wickets in three overs to restrict Basnahira Cricket Dundees for 136 for nine in 20 overs. This was quite contrast to their performance in the previous game. Basnahira openers failed to capitalize after opting to bat first as Dwayne Smith falling in the very first over for no score.

T.M. Dilshan carried his good form to score 55 off 48 balls but he lacked support. Dishan and Jeewan Mendis saw their team reach 58 for the loss of three as they completed the 10th over to have rate of 5.80. Mendis made 30 in 26 balls before Cameron Borgas making a quick fire 19, with a boundary and a six. Jacob Oram, the New Zealander too successful with the ball to claim 3 for 16 in 4 overs.
