Damindu Ashan slams season’s best of 205

Royal Panadura's right handed batsman Damindu Ashan slammed the highest score of 205 n.o. in the ongoing Under 17 Division One cricket tournament in a second round match against Vidyartha played at the Panadura Esplanade yesterday which ended in a convincing 144 run for Royal Panadura. Damindu's knock came off just 158 balls comprised 22 boundaries and seven towering sixes.

Damindu apart from his unbeaten double ton was associated in a record opening wicket stand of 276 runs with Madhawa Nimesh who made 89 with 11 boundaries and a six helping Royal Panadura make a massive score of 340 for 3. Vidyartha in their run chase were no where near the target and after being on 90 for 3 at the halfway stage they recovered but were able to muster only 196.
