29th Mercantile Athletic C’ships on September 15/16

The Mercantile Athletic Federation (MAF) will conduct the 29th annual Mercantile Athletic Championships on September 15 and 16 at the Sugathadasa Stadium, Colombo.
The MAF Championships is the most looked forward to event by mercantile sector athletes and is the main event organised by the MAF. The organising committee is taking great pains to have this year’s championship in a carnival atmosphere and are also looking at doubling the number of participating organisations and athletes at this years event.
The MAF Championships is open to employees of the private sector and caters to the young and not so young with events for both men and women in all age groups covering the Novices, Championships and Veterans age groups 30+, 35+, 40+, 45+, 50+ and 55+.The MAF is also looking out for corporate sponsors to partner them to make this event a success and to nurture and promote athletics amongst the mercantile sector employees.
