Olympic Gold Medalist auctions his jersey in Colombo

Olympic Gold Medalist and five-time world rowing champion, Mahe Drysdale, auctioned his Olympic Jersey at a dinner in Colombo, recently. He did this to raise Rs 2.35 million which will go as funds for the Cerebral Palsy Lanka Foundation.  

Drysdale arrived Sri Lanka to lift the spirits of Royal College team before the annual Royal – Thomian regatta and he visited to the The Dream Center for children with Cerebral Palsy.

The champion was moved at the site of disable children at The Dream Center for children with Cerebral Palsy and agreed to auction his Olympic jersey to raise funds.
