Nagenahira Nagas make three out of three
Nagenahira Nagas made it three wins out of three matches when they beat Basnahira Cricket Dundees by six wickets in the 8th SLPL match played at Pallekale International Cricket Stadium, on Friday.
Chasing 147, a wicket keeper batsman from Bangladesh, Mushfiqur Rahim hit 54 off 39 balls to guide Nagas to a comfortable win with an over to spare. In his match winning knock, Rahim hit four 4's and a massive six.
Nagenahira skipper, Angelo Mathews scored 30 off 21 balls and added 57 runs for the third wicket with Rahim. Batting first, T. M. Dilshan hit 35 off 31 balls, to take Basnahira Cricket Dundees to 146 all out. The Sri Lanka opener has already scored 157 runs in three matches to become the leading scorer of the tournament so far.
Dimuth Karunaratne and Borgas added 42 runs for the fourth wicket in 33 balls before Karunaratne was run out by a superb throw from Ahmed Shehzad. Shaminda Eranga bowled best for Nagenahira Nagas, claiming 3 for 20 in four overs.
